David Prada showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Agustín Saelices in the 4th minute of the match. David Prada showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 8th minute, Ecuador's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Claudio Caniggia fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita got a good chance for a goal in the 10th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. SANFINS VLP's David Prada played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 12th minute of play. In the 13th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but David Prada saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Ecuador's Julio Vera got control of the ball when Zhuang Fan Zhen tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 31st match minute, SANFINS VLP was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Basílio Silveira to maneuver through the defense. Valdemar Setúbal kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. 32 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Julio Vera was a little too slow when Claudio Caniggia got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 34th minute. The score was now 1-0. When Felix Montenegro came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Felix Montenegro couldn't finish the play. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Claudio Caniggia struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. Julio Vera didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SANFINS VLP. When the match had gone on for 57 minutes, Daniel Zorita took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for David Prada to make any attempt to save it. After a rather tough play, SANFINS VLP's Yanick Coremans got a free kick in the 62nd minute. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without David Prada having to interfere. 67 minutes into the match, SANFINS VLP's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but David Prada reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Valdemar Setúbal during the 67th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Valdemar Setúbal hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. Felix Montenegro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 75th minute, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-3. David Prada came out of the goal in the 81st minute to try and stop a shot by Ecuador's Cristian Sancho. But to his dismay, Cristian Sancho quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-4. 85 minutes into the match, Cristian Sancho notched a goal, 1-5, to the right of SANFINS VLP's David Prada. David Prada was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The audience thought a goal was coming when Felix Montenegro got free with David Prada in the 90th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. It seemed to be an obvious goal in the 94th minute, but David Prada got his fingers on the ball or the save, leaving SANFINS VLP hanging dry this time. When the final whistle sounded Ecuador left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than SANFINS VLP.
