With a couple of smart ball manuevers Salvador Hats in the 56th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. When the match had gone on for 56 minutes, Salvador Hats put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Julio Vera. 59 minutes into the game, El Fortín de Floresta's Salvador Hats nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Julio Vera made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. In the 62nd minute Salvador Hats shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Delmar Manex in the 69th minute of play. If Felix Montenegro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute.
