After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

MALBEC's supporters rose to their feet, but Haroldo Brais was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ricardo Zorita breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Omar Chan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ricardo Zorita having to interfere. Omar Chan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. A throw-in in the 91st minute of the game was made by Guaberto Arnalt with Andreas Fredriksson as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. 95 minutes into the game, Abram Luque was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. El Salvador's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave MALBEC the free kick. In the 95th minute, Abram Luque hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. MALBEC fully deserved thier win.
