An unexpectedly hard shot by Golaki Kafadar in the 27th minute of play forced Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Milagros Fraga could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 31st minute of the match, but Per-Oskar Svensson made a huge save. It was a well-played corner which Eliseo Mina managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand.
