Spectators: 39 (Terracing: 30, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Edmundo Espiga made the kick off and thus started the match. Kleanthis Kostakoglou was extremely unlucky when he, in the 4th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. After a rather tough play, FC Schalke 04's Conrad Bowen got a free kick in the 5th minute. Trent Cuevas didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Edmundo Espiga went, in the 12th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Edmundo Espiga in the 19th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Trent Cuevas saved FC Schalke 04 from getting behind. Edmundo Espiga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd rose to their feet as František Spousta kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Lautaro Navarro. That made the score 1-2 in the 25 minute of play. Luca Espinar hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. 31 minutes into the match, Honduras's goalkeeper Lautaro Navarro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Kleanthis Kostakoglou. After some fancy dribbling in the 35th minute, Edmundo Espiga managed to get in a good position for a shot. Honduras's supporters rose to their feet, but Edmundo Espiga was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Trent Cuevas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Emanuel Ocampo hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. In the 40th minute, Benedykt Cwenar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 41 minutes, Edmundo Espiga managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Honduras's supporters crossed their fingers, but Edmundo Espiga was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Neal Collins's late challenge caught a Honduras's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Neal Collins helped the player get up and apologised. After 44 played minutes FC Schalke 04 got a freekick which was hit by Neal Collins. Christian Sancho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 48th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

The supporters of FC Schalke 04 booed when Honduras was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sebastian Villa didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Kleanthis Kostakoglou's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Lautaro Navarro was relentless in the 56th minute of the game. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Kleanthis Kostakoglou in the 56th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lautaro Navarro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 58 played minutes Honduras got a freekick which was hit by Sebastian Villa. After 59 played minutes, FC Schalke 04's Percy Rios shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Lautaro Navarro came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in FC Schalke 04 reached it. Eli Nielsen kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. Sebastian Villa kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. In the 63rd minute of the match František Spousta sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Lautaro Navarro skillfully saved the ball. 66 minutes into the match, FC Schalke 04's goalkeeper Trent Cuevas had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Edmundo Espiga. Edmundo Espiga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A throw-in in the 72nd minute of the game was made by Conrad Bowen with František Spousta as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Lautaro Navarro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Percy Rios, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sebastian Villa scored 1-3 in the 78th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Trent Cuevas, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 84th minute, Kleanthis Kostakoglou left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC Schalke 04 fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-3. Lautaro Navarro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kleanthis Kostakoglou in the 88th minute of the match. When Sebastian Villa came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the Honduras fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sebastian Villa couldn't finish the play. Trent Cuevas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edmundo Espiga in the 93rd minute of the match. Honduras's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
