Mexico's Luca Rouco was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Caetano Peseiro in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lautaro Mancebo got free with Caetano Peseiro in the 17th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Caetano Peseiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joel Gaona, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Caetano Peseiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joel Gaona, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 24 minutes had been played when some careless play by 武汉江岸区江滩足球队's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Joel Gaona was slow to take the kick. During this time Mexico's players had a chance to rest. 29 minutes into the match, 武汉江岸区江滩足球队's goal looked a bit too open when Alberto Tafalla came free, but Caetano Peseiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 30 minutes into the match, Ali Gültiken notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Mexico's Dante Lacasa. Dante Lacasa was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joel Gaona in the 34th minute of play forced 武汉江岸区江滩足球队's goalkeeper Caetano Peseiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alberto Tafalla might have been able to make a better finish in the 46th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Caetano Peseiro. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Alberto Tafalla ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 46th minute of the match, Alberto Tafalla got a very nice opportunity to score, but Caetano Peseiro was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Joel Gaona to make the kick off. In the 54th match minute, Mexico was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leonardo Leoz to maneuver through the defense. If Ali Gültiken had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Caetano Peseiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joel Gaona in the 59th minute of play. When the referee ended the match the Mexico players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
