It was beautiful to see Uruguay's Kevin Carballal in action when he in the 24th minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! A collision led to Uruguay getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Bruno Beldad hit a great ball. In the 35th match minute, Uruguay was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Camilo Franco to maneuver through the defense. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Dennis Tozzi made a kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 81st minute, Maximiliano Escribano managed to get in a good position for a shot. The referee ignored CA Boca Jrs's protests and gave Diego Tamburrini a yellow card for diving instead. Jaime Cazalla, 89 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. 91 minutes into the match, CA Boca Jrs's goalkeeper Ercole Ceresoli had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Francisco Seco. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alfonso Pedrelli during the 96th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, CA Boca Jrs's Alfonso Pedrelli got a free kick in the 96th minute. If Francisco Seco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Uruguay's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
