Spectators: 39 (Terracing: 30, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Kleanthis Kostakoglou started the match with the kick off. Luca Espinar kicked well hit freekick during the 2nd minute of the match. Benedykt Cwenar charged in rather forcefully in the 4th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Benedykt Cwenar the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 4 minutes into the game, one of FC Schalke 04:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. FC Schalke 04:s Trent Cuevas showed great skill when he stopped Edmundo Espiga:s penalty. After some careless play in the FC Schalke 04 defense, Edmundo Espiga kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Trent Cuevas. The FC Schalke 04 fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Trent Cuevas should have stopped the shot. 13 minutes into the game, Edmundo Espiga cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Trent Cuevas was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Trent Cuevas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edmundo Espiga in the 17th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Edmundo Espiga in the 18th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Trent Cuevas saved FC Schalke 04 from getting behind. In the 20thth minute of the game Edmundo Espiga who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Schalke 04's Trent Cuevas was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 21 minutes into the game, Conrad Bowen was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Schalke 04's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Honduras the free kick. A collision led to FC Schalke 04 getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Conrad Bowen hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Edmundo Espiga in the 24th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Trent Cuevas saved FC Schalke 04 from getting behind. Kleanthis Kostakoglou who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 32ndth minute tested the skills of Lautaro Navarro when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Honduras's Valentín Carvallo managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Conrad Bowen in the 35 minute of the game. Edmundo Espiga struck a weak shot in the 37th minute. Trent Cuevas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Honduras. Trent Cuevas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edmundo Espiga in the 46th minute of play. Luca Espinar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half Honduras were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Edmundo Espiga made a kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Kleanthis Kostakoglou during the 53rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 54th minute, Kleanthis Kostakoglou hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. František Spousta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Honduras's attentive Christian Sancho managed to snatch the ball when Conrad Bowen made a throw-in in the 80th minute of the game. 81 minutes into the game, Edmundo Espiga recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Trent Cuevas. Edmundo Espiga showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-4. In the 86th minute Edmundo Espiga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Trent Cuevas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, FC Schalke 04's Trent Cuevas got control of the ball when Edmundo Espiga tried to sneak it across the goal line. FC Schalke 04's defense didn't have a chance, in the 90th minute, when Edmundo Espiga scored to the left of an out of position Trent Cuevas, making the score, 0-5. After 93 played minutes FC Schalke 04 got a freekick which was hit by Percy Rios. Edmundo Espiga scored 0-6 in the 96th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Trent Cuevas, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Honduras played a much better game than FC Schalke 04 and deserved their victory. The FC Schalke 04 players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
