Waldir Gaúcho came out of the goal and Tomas Illescas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 29th match minute, Valhalla Time was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Täpäl Asadov to maneuver through the defense. Täpäl Asadov kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. Arnaldo Martins made in the 38th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Aca Larroque. In the 39th minute Best Tek shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Best Tek in the 39th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Best Tek in the 39th minute of play. After having played for 48 minutes, Aca Larroque managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Valhalla Time's supporters crossed their fingers, but Aca Larroque was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The wind increased when Amaury Hulsen made the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tomas Illescas in the 52nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Waldir Gaúcho saved Valhalla Time from getting behind. Tomas Illescas struck a weak shot in the 53rd minute. Waldir Gaúcho didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Venezuela. Patricio Costa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Waldir Gaúcho having to interfere. Venezuela's Tomas Illescas got a good chance for a goal in the 56th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Waldir Gaúcho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Illescas in the 58th minute of the match. Guillermo Mariano kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. In the 63rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Valhalla Time's goalkeeper Waldir Gaúcho, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 68 minutes into the game, Amaury Hulsen recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Jonathan Ferrant. Amaury Hulsen showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-1. The audience was convinced that Amaury Hulsen's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jonathan Ferrant was relentless in the 72nd minute of the game. After 74 minutes, Jonathan Venegas mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Venezuela and the Valhalla Time players grew even worse after the yellow card.
