An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 11th minute of play forced Maragassume AD - CIMZ's goalkeeper Cauan de Senna to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cauan de Senna made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 17th minute of play. In the 19th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Ronaldão Sanches had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ronaldão Sanches sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Cauan de Senna tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the Maragassume AD - CIMZ defense, Cristian Sancho kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cauan de Senna. The Maragassume AD - CIMZ fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cauan de Senna should have stopped the shot. Ben Spierenburg hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. Daniel Zorita took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 35th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Cauan de Senna. Maragassume AD - CIMZ's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 36th match minute, Maragassume AD - CIMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Frédson Chaves to maneuver through the defense. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 40th minute, Luis Andino made a precise shot to the right of Cauan de Senna. Maragassume AD - CIMZ's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ronaldão Sanches during the 47th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The Maragassume AD - CIMZ players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Ecuador were winning 0-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ben Spierenburg to strike the kick off in the second half. 55 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Ben Spierenburg came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cauan de Senna made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cristian Sancho in the 60th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cristian Sancho got free with Cauan de Senna in the 61st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Daniel Zorita kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. In the 70th minute of the game Primitivo Andino made a throw-in which Felix Montenegro played forward. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ben Spierenburg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 75th minute Ben Spierenburg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 81st minute, Daniel Zorita fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Maragassume AD - CIMZ made a substitution. Diamantino Neves replaced Sergiu Râznicu. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ben Spierenburg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Daniel Zorita came free with the goalkeeper in the 88th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Cauan de Senna could save by the left post. After having played for 91 minutes, Ronaldão Sanches managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Maragassume AD - CIMZ's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ronaldão Sanches was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Daniel Zorita recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
