Alvaro Valente showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luz Tejedor in the 3rd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julian Murillo in the 10th minute of play forced Scofield's goalkeeper Alvaro Valente to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rolando Noboa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Feliciano Baumar, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. The Scofield fans' excitement grew in the 14th match minute when Scofield's Feliciano Baumar looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 18 minutes into the match, Scofield's goalkeeper Alvaro Valente had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Eliseo Mina. Feliciano Baumar's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rolando Noboa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 25th minute of play. Scofield's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Alto Roca in the 27th minute. A nice corner shot did that Alto Roca got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Rolando Noboa quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After some careless play in the Scofield defense, Julian Murillo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Alvaro Valente. The Scofield fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Alvaro Valente should have stopped the shot. Feliciano Baumar's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rolando Noboa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 34th minute of play. Moises Gayoso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alvaro Valente having to interfere. In the 39th minute Julian Murillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alvaro Valente saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Feliciano Baumar scored 1-2 in the 43rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Rolando Noboa, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 46 minutes into the match, Scofield's goalkeeper Alvaro Valente had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Julian Murillo. The Peru players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Scofield were winning 1-2.

The corner led Peru's Antonio Tenorio to fire away a dangerous shot which Alvaro Valente despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 90 minutes into the game, Rafael Gallo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Alvaro Valente was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 94 minutes into the match, Peru's Rafael Gallo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Alvaro Valente narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 96 minutes into the game, Peru's Rafael Gallo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Alvaro Valente made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-2.
