Tomas Illescas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 23 minutes into the match, Maragassume AD - CIMZ's Aníbal Amaral sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jonathan Ferrant narrowly saved just below the crossbar. João Carlos Cunha's late challenge caught a Venezuela's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. From a short distance, Maragassume AD - CIMZ's Ronaldão Sanches, in the 48th minute, tried to place the ball behind Jonathan Ferrant, but the ball hit the right post on the wrong side and went out.

The wind increased when Tomas Illescas made the kick off in the second half. Ronaldão Sanches succeeded in the game's 52nd minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 4-0. 56 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Ronaldão Sanches came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal in the 63rd minute to try and stop a shot by Maragassume AD - CIMZ's Ronaldão Sanches. But to his dismay, Ronaldão Sanches quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-0. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ronaldão Sanches in the 72nd minute of play. In the 80th minute Ronaldão Sanches shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Maragassume AD - CIMZ's Ronaldão Sanches, in the 80th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. Maragassume AD - CIMZ's Cauan de Senna played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Illescas in the 87th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Jose Correa got a free kick in the 87th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Pedrão Eger in the 88th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jonathan Ferrant prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Camilo Gaos got a free kick in the 90th minute. 91 minutes into the match, João Carlos Cunha had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that João Carlos Cunha was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 7-0. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Frédson Chaves during the 93rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Venezuela booed when Maragassume AD - CIMZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Frédson Chaves didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 94th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Patricio Costa to maneuver through the defense. 95 minutes into the match, Frédson Chaves had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Frédson Chaves was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 8-0.
