In the 10th match minute, Chile was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mariano Lacasa to maneuver through the defense. In the 17th minute of the match Nagyváradi AC got a corner. Chile's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Ábel Zarka ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Ábel Zarka almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Chile's Thiago Pliego did a great save. In the 25th minute Vencel Pápai shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thiago Pliego saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nagyváradi AC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Ábel Zarka in the 26th minute. The corner led Nagyváradi AC's Ábel Zarka to fire away a dangerous shot which Thiago Pliego despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 30th minute, Mariano Lacasa reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Jos Van Hinnendael. The goal made the score 2-0. Mariano Lacasas short, quick shot in the 34thth minute got Jos Van Hinnendael to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Jos Van Hinnendael made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mariano Lacasa in the 35th minute of play. Thiago Pliego made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jedrzej Kasprzak in the 37th minute of play. Jedrzej Kasprzak blasted a shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Thiago Pliego having to make a save. Jos Van Hinnendael showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mariano Lacasa, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. Thiago Pliego made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jedrzej Kasprzak in the 45th minute of play. Thiago Pliego took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jedrzej Kasprzak, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

If Mariano Lacasa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 69 minutes into the match, Chile's Mariano Lacasa sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jos Van Hinnendael narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Guillermo Fontirroig had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match clock showed 76 minutes, the score became 5-0 when Mariano Lacasa sped through Nagyváradi AC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Jos Van Hinnendael. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 82nd minute of play forced Nagyváradi AC's goalkeeper Jos Van Hinnendael to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
