Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 3rd minute of the match, managed to save Venezuela from getting a goal against them. Pere Villanueva kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. Neal Weatherby hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. Patricio Costa struck a weak shot in the 9th minute. Christian Kerville didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Venezuela. Christian Kerville showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Patricio Costa in the 13th minute of the match. Venezuela's Salvador Gisbert managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Pere Villanueva in the 17 minute of the game. Elderslie Magpies's Christian Kerville played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Illescas in the 22nd minute of play. Ovidio Etxekopar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. Elderslie Magpies's Christian Kerville played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Illescas in the 24th minute of play. Venezuela's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Tomas Illescas in the 25th minute. After taking down the ball on Venezuela's corner Tomas Illescas fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Christian Kerville quite easily take care of the ball. Elderslie Magpies's Christian Kerville played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Illescas in the 28th minute of play. Tomas Illescas scored 0-2 in the 30th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Christian Kerville, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 34th minute, Tomas Illescas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Neal Weatherby in the 39th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jonathan Ferrant saved Venezuela from getting behind.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tomas Illescas made a kick off. In the 51st minute, Neal Weatherby left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Elderslie Magpies fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. In the 64th minute the ball was on its way in behind Elderslie Magpies's goalkeeper Christian Kerville, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Venezuela were awarded a corner in the 65th minute after Elderslie Magpies's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Tomas Illescas took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Tomas Illescas got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Christian Kerville quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 66 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Neal Weatherby came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Venezuela defense, Neal Weatherby kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. The Venezuela fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonathan Ferrant should have stopped the shot. Patricio Costa blasted a shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Christian Kerville having to make a save. In the 73rd minute, Neal Weatherby made a precise shot to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-2. After some fancy dribbling in the 78th minute, Ovidio Etxekopar managed to get in a good position for a shot. Elderslie Magpies's supporters rose to their feet, but Ovidio Etxekopar was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jonathan Ferrant breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Elderslie Magpies's Pere Villanueva got a free kick in the 79th minute. After 82 minutes, Neal Weatherby made it 4-2 with a short kick to the right side. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Tomas Illescas struck a weak shot in the 86th minute. Christian Kerville didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Venezuela. The supporters of Elderslie Magpies booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jose Correa didn't get a good kick on the ball. 94 minutes into the game, Sam Mccartan cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-2. Jonathan Ferrant was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.
