Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Ecuador's Daniel Zorita started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Mendoza Truebano kicked well hit freekick during the 2nd minute of the match. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Cristian Sancho hit a great ball. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Urrutia Chavarria in the 5th minute of play. After 6 minutes Ecuador's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Aguirre Vialpando who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Aquiles Rajo got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Julio Vera quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Felix Montenegro got free in front of the goal in the 16th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Fausto Sotres was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Urrutia Chavarria sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After a rather tough play, Siete de Octubre's Mendoza Truebano got a free kick in the 28th minute. Fausto Sotres didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cristian Sancho went, in the 32nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. The audience was convinced that Daniel Zorita's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Fausto Sotres was relentless in the 36th minute of the game. Fausto Sotres took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Fausto Sotres tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Agustín Saelices in the 44th minute of play forced Siete de Octubre's goalkeeper Fausto Sotres to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ecuador's Julio Vera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 45th minute of the match, managed to save Ecuador from getting a goal against them. In the 45th minute, Siete de Octubre's Urrutia Chavarria ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Julio Vera. Julio Vera yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Urrutia Chavarria to make the kick off. In the 52nd minute, Ecuador's Felix Montenegro dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-2. Luis Andino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fausto Sotres having to interfere. In the 57th match minute, Siete de Octubre was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gustavo Abaurre to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Siete de Octubre's Fausto Sotres got control of the ball when Daniel Zorita tried to sneak it across the goal line. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Urrutia Chavarria, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. Fausto Sotres made a fantastic save in the 65th minute, when Daniel Zorita sent off a good shot on target. In the 77th minute, Cristian Sancho made a precise shot to the right of Fausto Sotres. Siete de Octubre's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-3. Daniel Zorita scored 3-4 in the 81st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Fausto Sotres, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 91 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Vellito Loaisa came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Aquilino Dubardo hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. Daniel Zorita was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 96th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. When the match was over Ecuador could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Siete de Octubre throughout the match.
