In the 18th match minute, Mexico was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joel Gaona to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jedrzej Kasprzak in the 24th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dante Lacasa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joel Gaona in the 39th minute of play forced Nagyváradi AC's goalkeeper Jos Van Hinnendael to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 40 minutes had been played when some careless play by Nagyváradi AC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Joel Gaona was slow to take the kick. During this time Mexico's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Joel Gaona got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Jos Van Hinnendael quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 42nd minute, Sixten Pååk hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jos Van Hinnendael was a little too slow when Joel Gaona got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 43rd minute. The score was now 2-0. Dante Lacasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jedrzej Kasprzak, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Cemal Metin fell near the penalty area in the 48th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Nagyváradi AC's protests and gave Cemal Metin a yellow card for diving instead. In the 48th minute, Cemal Metin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jedrzej Kasprzak made a kick off. In the 55th minute, Nagyváradi AC's Jedrzej Kasprzak dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-1. Nagyváradi AC's Jos Van Hinnendael played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 58th minute of play. Nagyváradi AC's Zsolt Zolnai was substituted for Gergely Müller. György Miklós hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. Jos Van Hinnendael made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joel Gaona in the 71st minute of play. Vencel Pápai made in the 73rd minute of the game a quick throw-in and Cemal Metin immediately put the ball in play. With a little luck, Mexico's Dante Lacasa got control of the ball when Jedrzej Kasprzak tried to sneak it across the goal line. 82 minutes into the match, Ákos Szél had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dante Lacasa. Mexico's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ákos Szél was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. Thanks to some nice moves Jedrzej Kasprzak could shoot a difficult shot in the 87th minute, which Dante Lacasa however easily saved by the left post. Jos Van Hinnendael showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Mexico's zone, Ábel Zarka stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dante Lacasa came out of the goal and Ábel Zarka tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jedrzej Kasprzak scored 2-3 in the 95th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dante Lacasa, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The Mexico supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Nagyváradi AC's performance. The match ended with a win for Nagyváradi AC.
