With a little luck, Ecuador's Julio Vera got control of the ball when Segundo Feliu tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Agustín Saelices hit a great ball. Bicicleta F.C.'s attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Gregorio Abalos in the 23rd minute. The corner led Bicicleta F.C.'s Gregorio Abalos to fire away a dangerous shot which Julio Vera despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. A collision led to Bicicleta F.C. getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Eleuterio Sotil hit a great ball. Luis Andino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tony Löv having to interfere. In the 32nd minute, Daniel Zorita ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Tony Löv was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Antoine Griezmann in the 38th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ecuador's Julio Vera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 40th minute of the match, managed to save Ecuador from getting a goal against them. Tony Löv showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 42nd minute of the match. The supporters of Bicicleta F.C. booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Primitivo Andino didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Antoine Griezmann in the 50th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tony Löv made a fantastic save in the 51st minute, when Daniel Zorita sent off a good shot on target. The long shot by Daniel Zorita in the 52nd minute really tested Tony Löv's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. In the 55th minute, Daniel Zorita reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Tony Löv. The goal made the score 0-2. After 58 played minutes Bicicleta F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Lucas Basualdo. Tony Löv made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 60th minute of play. Daniel Zorita recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Bicicleta F.C.'s Javier Gagriel was substituted for Lucas Basualdo. Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 70th minute of the match, but Tony Löv made a huge save. In the 72ndth minute of the game Daniel Zorita who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Bicicleta F.C.'s Tony Löv was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Antoine Griezmann in the 74th minute of play. Tony Löv was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Felix Montenegro showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-3 in the 78 minute of play. After 82 minutes Bicicleta F.C.'s defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Zorita who took care of the corner kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Segundo Feliu in the 85th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 87th minute, Bicicleta F.C.'s goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Daniel Zorita fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. When Felix Montes fell near the penalty area in the 88th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ecuador's protests and gave Felix Montes a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Felix Montes got a free kick in the 88th minute. Segundo Feliu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Antoine Griezmann in the 95th minute of play.
