Santiago Brasil could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 35th minute of the match, but Ricardo Zorita made a huge save. Marino Grazia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ricardo Zorita having to interfere. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Moises Fernandino was the one to do the kick off. In the 50th match minute, Cabrones was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joel Ganix to maneuver through the defense. Moises Fernandino's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Everardo Aimar read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 52nd minute of play. After a rather tough play, El Salvador's Jorge Magrina got a free kick in the 57th minute. In the 58th minute, Severo Izotz ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ricardo Zorita made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marino Grazia in the 66th minute of play. After 67 minutes El Salvador's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Cosme Clodio who took care of the corner kick. Jesus Carvallo tried to clear up in front of the goal, but didn't succeed and rather the ball rolled into the own goal to the right of a despaired Ricardo Zorita. An unnecessary self made goal, 3-0 in the 67th minute. A collision led to El Salvador getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Lorenzo Yepes hit a great ball. Severo Izotz scored 4-0 in the 76th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ricardo Zorita, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 80th minute, Moises Fernandino got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 82nd minute, Santiago Brasil ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ricardo Zorita was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-0. Joel Ganix blasted a shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ricardo Zorita having to make a save. Moises Fernandino could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 89th minute of the match, but Everardo Aimar made a huge save.
