Daniel Zorita blasted a shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without William Rosa having to make a save. Daniel Zorita took the ball and in the 12 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised William Rosa. William Rosa dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. William Rosa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 16 minutes of play, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. William Rosa was left in no man's land by his defense there! William Rosa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cleiton Vidal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Julio Vera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Vila Mascote FC's zone, Daniel Zorita stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. William Rosa came out of the goal and Daniel Zorita tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Vila Mascote FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Isaltino Brito didn't get a good kick on the ball. William Rosa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Julio Vera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Zhang Zheng Liang's shot from short distance in the 35th minute. When Cristian Sancho came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristian Sancho couldn't finish the play. A hard shot 41 in the game by Cleiton Vidal from a close distance when the talented Julio Vera managed to make a qualified save. Ecuador's players were relieved. Vila Mascote FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by José Augusto Brito in the 43rd minute. Vila Mascote FC's José Augusto Brito was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Julio Vera in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 45th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but William Rosa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 47 played minutes Vila Mascote FC got a freekick which was hit by Natã Castro. The Vila Mascote FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Ecuador were winning 0-3.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Daniel Zorita made a kick off. Vila Mascote FC's Zhang Zheng Liang got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 59 played minutes Vila Mascote FC got a freekick which was hit by Zhang Zheng Liang. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zhang Zheng Liang in the 63rd minute of play. Kaká Mota fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. Vila Mascote FC's William Rosa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 70th minute of the match, managed to save Vila Mascote FC from getting a goal against them. Luis Andino could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 75th minute of the match, but William Rosa made a huge save. 76 minutes into the game, Vila Mascote FC's Isaltino Brito nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Julio Vera made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita got a good chance for a goal in the 86th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 90 minutes into the game, Cristian Sancho cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-4. William Rosa was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. William Rosa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Zorita in the 93rd minute. Zhang Zheng Liang received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Julio Vera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Ecuador had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
