Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The crowd rose to their feet as HellBoys Sieradz's Boguslaw Jurgiel slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Jonathan Ferrant. That made the score 1-0 after 4 minutes of play. Artur Duda fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. 9 minutes into the match, Venezuela's Tomas Illescas sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jean-Marie Van Landschoot narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Venezuela's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Tomas Illescas in the 11th minute. A nice corner shot did that Tomas Illescas got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Jean-Marie Van Landschoot quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. When Salvador Gisbert, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 11 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Jean-Marie Van Landschoot was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. 14 minutes into the match, Venezuela's Tomas Illescas sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jean-Marie Van Landschoot narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 15 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Guillermo Mariano. Iwan Glapiak's shot from long distance in the 16th minute was not bad at all, but Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant knew what was happening and pushed the ball into his arms just before it hit the right post. In the 17th minute, Dariusz Ochabski hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Iwan Glapiak took the ball and in the 19 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. After 21 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Patricio Costa. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 26th minute of the match, managed to save Venezuela from getting a goal against them. In the 30th minute the ball was on its way in behind Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Patricio Costa in the 31st minute of play forced HellBoys Sieradz's goalkeeper Jean-Marie Van Landschoot to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 32nd minute, Boguslaw Jurgiel got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 38 minutes into the game, Venezuela's Patricio Costa nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jean-Marie Van Landschoot made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Patricio Costa got a free kick in the 40th minute. In the 42nd minute Tomas Illescas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jean-Marie Van Landschoot saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
The wind increased when Tomas Illescas made the kick off in the second half. Tomas Illescas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jean-Marie Van Landschoot read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 58th minute of play. In the 60th minute Tomas Illescas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jean-Marie Van Landschoot saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. HellBoys Sieradz's Jean-Marie Van Landschoot proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 62nd minute of the match, managed to save HellBoys Sieradz from getting a goal against them. Boguslaw Jurgiel recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lucjan Cuber in the 67th minute of play. HellBoys Sieradz's Jean-Marie Van Landschoot played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Illescas in the 70th minute of play. When Patricio Costa fell near the penalty area in the 75th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Venezuela's protests and gave Patricio Costa a yellow card for diving instead. Patricio Costa hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 76th minute, Boguslaw Jurgiel managed to get in a good position for a shot. HellBoys Sieradz's supporters rose to their feet, but Boguslaw Jurgiel was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jonathan Ferrant breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Tomas Illescas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Lucjan Cuber hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. In the 91st minute Patricio Costa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jean-Marie Van Landschoot saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. For all the effort they put into the match, the Venezuela players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for HellBoys Sieradz.
