The audience thought a goal was coming when Zachariasz Ptaszek got free with Julio Vera in the 12th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ruperto Santio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 16th minute after !HalaMadrid!'s defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. Daniel Zorita made a great header on Ecuador's corner, it was just that !HalaMadrid!'s Ruperto Santio managed to reach the ball for a save. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 23 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ruperto Santio narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 28th minute, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Cristian Sancho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ruperto Santio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 29th minute Zachariasz Ptaszek shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 30th minute !HalaMadrid! were awarded a corner. Zdzislaw Gierlach went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led !HalaMadrid!'s Zdzislaw Gierlach to fire away a dangerous shot which Julio Vera despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 33 minutes into the match, !HalaMadrid!'s Zachariasz Ptaszek sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Julio Vera narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Zachariasz Ptaszek's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Vera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 36th minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Zdzislaw Gierlach to make the kick off. Primitivo Andino made in the 51st minute of the game a quick throw-in and Felix Montenegro immediately put the ball in play. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Ruperto Santio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 59 minutes into the game, !HalaMadrid!'s Zachariasz Ptaszek nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Julio Vera made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. !HalaMadrid!'s Olaf Soroka was substituted for King Køng. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zachariasz Ptaszek in the 68th minute of play. When Luis Andino fell near the penalty area in the 80th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ecuador's protests and gave Luis Andino a yellow card for diving instead. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lion Turk, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 87th minute of play forced !HalaMadrid!'s goalkeeper Ruperto Santio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 92nd minute, Zachariasz Ptaszek left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The !HalaMadrid! fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. Zdzislaw Gierlach took the ball and in the 96 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Julio Vera. Julio Vera dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. The !HalaMadrid! players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
