An unexpectedly hard shot by Bon Čáp in the 21st minute of play forced Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. MINEIROS's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Ricardo Custódio in the 22nd minute. Milagros Fraga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 40 minutes MINEIROS's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Luz Tejedor who took care of the corner kick. After a rather tough play, Peru's Emmanuel Reyes got a free kick in the 45th minute. Rolando Noboa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ricardo Custódio in the 47th minute of the match.

The wind increased when Julian Murillo made the kick off in the second half. MINEIROS's Thommy Jadis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julian Murillo in the 55th minute of play. 57 minutes into the match, MINEIROS's goal looked a bit too open when Julian Murillo came free, but Thommy Jadis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 59 minutes in the game Emmanuel Reyes did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Milagros Fraga. 61 minutes into the game, Martin Petráš threw the ball into play from the sideline. Peru's Eliseo Mina quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Thommy Jadis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julian Murillo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 63 minutes into the match, MINEIROS's goal looked a bit too open when Julian Murillo came free, but Thommy Jadis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 67 minutes into the match, Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bon Čáp. MINEIROS made a substitution. Humberto Severo replaced Clóvis Rezende. A sloppy throw-in by Martin Petráš in the 74th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Peru's Eliseo Mina. With a little luck, Peru's Rolando Noboa got control of the ball when Mário Maradona tried to sneak it across the goal line. Julian Murillo took the ball and in the 80 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Thommy Jadis. Thommy Jadis dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Peru's Eliseo Alcocer was substituted for Moises Gayoso. Thommy Jadis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rafael Gallo, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. After 93 minutes of play, Peru's Rafael Gallo made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Thommy Jadis was left in no man's land by his defense there! 96 minutes into the match, MINEIROS's goal looked a bit too open when Rafael Gallo came free, but Thommy Jadis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Peru fully deserved thier win.
