Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Themos Leontiadis got the match started through his kick off. Camilo Gisbert made in the 2nd minute of the game a quick throw-in and Cristian Sancho immediately put the ball in play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 3rd minute of play forced Panionios MK's goalkeeper Erik Vale to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ecuador's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Daniel Zorita in the 4th minute. A nice corner shot did that Luis Andino got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Erik Vale quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Panionios MK were awarded a corner in the 10th minute after Ecuador's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Argyris Ksagorarakis took the corner. Argyris Ksagorarakis made a great header on Panionios MK's corner, it was just that Ecuador's Julio Vera managed to reach the ball for a save. 12 minutes in the game Camilo Gisbert did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Luis Andino. Panionios MK's Erik Vale played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 14th minute of play. Erik Vale made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 20th minute of play. After having played for 24 minutes, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristian Sancho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Ecuador's zone, Themos Leontiadis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julio Vera came out of the goal and Themos Leontiadis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 33 minutes, Themos Leontiadis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristian Sancho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Cristian Sancho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Julio Vera came out of the goal in the 46th minute to try and stop a shot by Panionios MK's Allan Corrigan. But to his dismay, Allan Corrigan quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Daniel Zorita was the one to do the kick off. Panionios MK's Erik Vale played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 55th minute of play. The supporters of Panionios MK booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Juan Sebastián Puig didn't get a good kick on the ball. The throw-in from Camilo Gisbert in the 61st minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Panionios MK's Kyriakos Akrivoulis. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Camilo Gisbert got a free kick in the 61st minute. After a defensive mix-up in Ecuador's zone, Themos Leontiadis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julio Vera came out of the goal and Themos Leontiadis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 64th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Cristian Sancho blasted a shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Erik Vale having to make a save. After 67 played minutes Panionios MK got a freekick which was hit by Argyris Ksagorarakis. Panionios MK's Erik Vale managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Camilo Gisbert in the 76 minute of the game. After 83 minutes Panionios MK's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Zorita who took care of the corner kick. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Themos Leontiadis in the 89th minute of play. 90 minutes into the game, Themos Leontiadis cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Julio Vera was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Panionios MK's Erik Vale proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 95th minute of the match, managed to save Panionios MK from getting a goal against them. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Allan Corrigan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Panionios MK were victorious despite being under pressure from Ecuador for much of the match.
