After some careless play in the Ecuador defense, Charly Boisson kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Julio Vera. The Ecuador fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Julio Vera should have stopped the shot. Chaponnay FC's Moïse Girerd played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 25th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Daniel Zorita in the 27th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Moïse Girerd prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 28 minutes Chaponnay FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Zorita who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Ecuador's Agustín Saelices to a score. 1-1 in the 29th minute. Chaponnay FC's Moïse Girerd played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Felix Montenegro in the 32nd minute of play. 36 minutes into the match, Daniel Zorita had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Moïse Girerd. Chaponnay FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Daniel Zorita was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Camilo Gisbert hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. Moïse Girerd showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. The supporters of Chaponnay FC booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Felix Montes didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Chaponnay FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Ecuador were winning 1-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Evan Le Moullec to make the kick off. Daniel Zorita struck a weak shot in the 53rd minute. Moïse Girerd didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. Evan Le Moullec's late challenge caught a Ecuador's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Evan Le Moullec helped the player get up and apologised. Evan Le Moullec kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. If Agustín Saelices had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Moïse Girerd made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Zorita in the 60th minute. Moïse Girerd was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Cristian Sancho showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-3 in the 62 minute of play. 65 minutes into the match, Chaponnay FC's goalkeeper Moïse Girerd had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cristian Sancho. 66 minutes into the game, Daniel Zorita lined in a short shot 1-4 behind a frustrated Moïse Girerd. Moïse Girerd showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. Luis Andino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Moïse Girerd tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 92nd minute, Chaponnay FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Daniel Zorita fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 93rd minute, Noureddine Ridard hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ecuador's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
