BlacK & BlueS's Matías Domingues played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 23rd minute of play. Gabriel Severo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Vera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 26th minute of play. 26 minutes into the game, Gabriel Severo recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Julio Vera. Gabriel Severo showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Matías Domingues showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. Agustín Saelices sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Daniel Zorita was the one to do the kick off. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. Ecuador's Luis Andino was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Matías Domingues in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 65th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Matías Domingues saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Matías Domingues made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 74th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Fernandinho Rodrigues's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Julio Vera was relentless in the 84th minute of the game. Felix Montenegro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Matías Domingues having to interfere. A collision led to BlacK & BlueS getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Juninho Mineiro hit a great ball. Matías Domingues showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luis Andino in the 88th minute of the match. In the 91st minute, Luis Andino got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the referee blew the final whistle, BlacK & BlueS could leave the field as winners, despite Ecuador having more of the ball for most of the match.
