In the 86th minute, Cristian Sancho reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Matías Domingues. The goal made the score 2-1. After some careless play in the Ecuador defense, Fernandinho Rodrigues kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Julio Vera. The Ecuador fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Julio Vera should have stopped the shot. Tostão Céleste's late challenge caught a Ecuador's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tostão Céleste helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, BlacK & BlueS's Tostão Céleste got a free kick in the 92nd minute.
