An unexpectedly hard shot by Felix Montenegro in the 16th minute of play forced Mellansels stationsgäng's goalkeeper Jörgen Sjöman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Samuel Hultman in the 22nd minute of play. 24 minutes into the match, Daniel Zorita notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Mellansels stationsgäng's Jörgen Sjöman. Jörgen Sjöman was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Mellansels stationsgäng's Jörgen Sjöman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Agustín Saelices in the 36th minute of play. In the 39th match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Camilo Gisbert to maneuver through the defense. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Samuel Hultman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cristian Sancho might have been able to make a better finish in the 46th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jörgen Sjöman. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cristian Sancho ran back to his position shaking his head. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Daniel Zorita stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, Mellansels stationsgäng's goalkeeper Jörgen Sjöman had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cristian Sancho. Samuel Hultman hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. Ecuador's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 85th minute of the match, but Jörgen Sjöman made a huge save. The supporters of Mellansels stationsgäng booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Primitivo Andino didn't get a good kick on the ball. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Samuel Hultman in the 93rd minute of the match. 95 minutes into the game, Lars Tidén was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. The Mellansels stationsgäng players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
