With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julio Vera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience was convinced that Cristian Sancho's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ian Brun was relentless in the 11th minute of the game. Haganäsgränd TT's Ian Brun played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 12th minute of play. Nils Billing succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-0 in the 14th playminute. Haganäsgränd TT were awarded a corner in the 20th minute after Ecuador's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Frans Hjortsberg took the corner. After a defensive mix-up in Haganäsgränd TT's zone, Felix Montenegro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ian Brun came out of the goal and Felix Montenegro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ian Brun made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 22nd minute of play. Ecuador's Julio Vera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 24th minute of the match, managed to save Ecuador from getting a goal against them. The crowd rose to their feet as Roland Karlsson kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Julio Vera. That made the score 2-0 in the 33 minute of play. With a little luck, Ecuador's Julio Vera got control of the ball when Nils Billing tried to sneak it across the goal line. Reine Rosin kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. When Daniel Zorita came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Daniel Zorita couldn't finish the play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The wind increased when Daniel Zorita made the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, Haganäsgränd TT's Ian Brun got control of the ball when Cristian Sancho tried to sneak it across the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Marko Ekgren during the 55th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 55 played minutes Haganäsgränd TT got a freekick which was hit by Marko Ekgren. Daniel Zorita took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 56th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Ian Brun. Haganäsgränd TT's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The supporters of Haganäsgränd TT booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Agustín Saelices didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 60th minute, Stig-Ove Ekström hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ian Brun made a fantastic save in the 63rd minute, when Cristian Sancho sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to Haganäsgränd TT getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Nils Billing hit a great ball. In the 64th minute, Haganäsgränd TT's Nils Billing fired away a free kick that almost went in the goal, but it hit the crossbar and went out into the crowd. After a rather tough play, Haganäsgränd TT's Rolf Sandström got a free kick in the 66th minute. When Daniel Zorita came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Daniel Zorita couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Haganäsgränd TT was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marko Ekgren didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ian Brun made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Zorita in the 77th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Zorita got free with Ian Brun in the 77th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Stig-Ove Ekström kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. In the 80th minute, Roland Karlsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nils Billing in the 83rd minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Reine Rosin in the 84th minute of the match. After 90 played minutes Haganäsgränd TT got a freekick which was hit by Reine Rosin. Ian Brun was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Cristian Sancho showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-1 in the 93 minute of play. Many of Ecuador's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Ecuador may have spent more time on the ball, but Haganäsgränd TT were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
