In the 20th minute Behe Ruisuarez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cai Fei Cheng took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 24 minutes into the match, Mesere's goal looked a bit too open when Felix Montenegro came free, but Cai Fei Cheng reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Julio Vera stood somewhat misplaced when Luís Gustavo Pimenta came free in front of goal and shot 1-0 to the left of him in the 28 minute. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Luís Gustavo Pimenta stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Mesere's Cai Fei Cheng played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 53rd minute of play. 53 minutes into the game, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Cai Fei Cheng made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Julio Vera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Luís Gustavo Pimenta's shot from short distance in the 58th minute. 59 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Behe Ruisuarez came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 62nd minute, Cristian Sancho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 64 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Cristian Sancho. Cai Fei Cheng made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 66th minute of play. Behe Ruisuarez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out.
