Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Horácio Santos got the match started through his kick off. Honduras's Edmundo Espiga got a good chance for a goal in the 2nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 6th minute, Honduras's Edmundo Espiga dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Walmyr Matorin hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. 10 minutes into the match, Edmundo Espiga had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Fausto Sá. Maleta's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Edmundo Espiga was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. In the 12th minute Sebastian Villa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fausto Sá saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lautaro Navarro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Walmyr Matorin in the 15th minute of the match. 22 minutes into the match, Maleta's goalkeeper Fausto Sá had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Edmundo Espiga. Horácio Santos took the ball and in the 25 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Lautaro Navarro. Lautaro Navarro dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Esteban Carvallo kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. Edmundo Espiga's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Fausto Sá firmly grabbed it by the left post. Fausto Sá was out of position in the 34 minute of play, and Edmundo Espiga capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Edmundo Espiga really showed his touch with that goal: 3-1. Fausto Sá showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edmundo Espiga, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. In the 38th minute, Honduras's Edmundo Espiga dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 4-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Sebastian Villa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Honduras's supporters rose to their feet, but Sebastian Villa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fausto Sá breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Edmundo Espiga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fausto Sá having to interfere. With an all-out effort, Honduras's Fausto Sá threw himself towards the right post 46 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Sebastian Villa, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-1.

Maleta's Fausto Sá played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edmundo Espiga in the 51st minute of play. Esteban Carvallo hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. In the 63rd minute, Reinaldo Toledo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 65th minute of the game Armandinho Amaral made a throw-in which Horácio Santos played forward. 67 minutes into the game, Reinaldo Toledo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Maleta's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Honduras the free kick. The supporters of Honduras booed when Maleta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Reinaldo Toledo didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 69th minute, Edmundo Espiga got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Maleta's zone, Edmundo Espiga stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fausto Sá came out of the goal and Edmundo Espiga tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 76th minute of the game Armandinho Amaral made a throw-in which Horácio Santos played forward. 80 minutes into the match, Honduras's goal looked a bit too open when Walmyr Matorin came free, but Lautaro Navarro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sebastian Villa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 81st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 82nd minute, Tiago Gabriel Leme hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Honduras's Edmundo Espiga in the 84th minute got a chance for a shot 84th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Maleta's goalie prevented a goal. In the 90th minute Walmyr Matorin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lautaro Navarro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 93rd minute, Horácio Santos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
