The supporters of Hatayspor booed when Chile was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alan Tamayo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nafiz Revis in the 40th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Thiago Pliego prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Chile's Mariano Lacasa got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Güvenç Taşan came out of the goal in the 45th minute to try and stop a shot by Chile's Mariano Lacasa. But to his dismay, Mariano Lacasa quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. The Hatayspor players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Chile were winning 1-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Nafiz Revis was the one to do the kick off.
