Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Fidel Jokin took the kick off in the first half of the match. Ecuador's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Fidel Jokin 5 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. In the 9th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gervasio Ixaka saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 9th minute, Daniel Zorita left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ecuador fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Rafa Santos Borré could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 12th minute of the match, but Julio Vera made a huge save. Gervasio Ixaka made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 13th minute of play. Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 15th minute after Vipos FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Daniel Zorita got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Gervasio Ixaka quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Felix Montenegro in the 20th minute of play forced Vipos FC's goalkeeper Gervasio Ixaka to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Vipos FC's Zeledon Barbosa got a free kick in the 21st minute. In the 27th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gervasio Ixaka saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gervasio Ixaka showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Agustín Saelices, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. In the 32ndth minute of the game Fidel Jokin who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ecuador's Julio Vera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Gervasio Ixaka showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. 38 minutes had been played when some careless play by Vipos FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. Ecuador's Cristian Sancho was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Gervasio Ixaka in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 39thth minute of the game Cristian Sancho who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Vipos FC's Gervasio Ixaka was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Rafa Santos Borré's late challenge caught a Ecuador's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rafa Santos Borré helped the player get up and apologised. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Vipos FC's Mayer Candelo was substituted for Gaspar Acuña. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Daniel Zorita to make the kick off. Cristian Sancho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 52nd minute of the match, but Gervasio Ixaka made a huge save. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rafa Santos Borré in the 63rd minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cristian Sancho got free with Gervasio Ixaka in the 64th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rafa Santos Borré in the 67th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gervasio Ixaka having to interfere. After 69 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Felix Montenegro. When Fidel Jokin came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the Vipos FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fidel Jokin couldn't finish the play. In the 71st minute of the match, Daniel Zorita got a very nice opportunity to score, but Gervasio Ixaka was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 74th minute the ball was on its way in behind Vipos FC's goalkeeper Gervasio Ixaka, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Vipos FC were awarded a corner in the 77th minute after Ecuador's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Miguel Castanheira took the corner. The corner ended in Miguel Castanheira almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Ecuador's Julio Vera did a great save. After having played for 83 minutes, Felix Montenegro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Felix Montenegro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The corner ended in Zeledon Barbosa almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Ecuador's Julio Vera did a great save. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fidel Jokin in the 94th minute of play. Daniel Zorita struck a weak shot in the 96th minute. Gervasio Ixaka didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador.
