The audience was convinced that Jorginho Esteves's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jacobo Nores was relentless in the 11th minute of the game. After a rather tough play, American Airlines's Andy Franklin got a free kick in the 12th minute. Chase Erwin acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 12th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Jaime Pardo. Paraguay's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Jaime Pardo in the 14th minute. Paraguay's Jaime Pardo was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Chase Erwin in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 14th match minute, American Airlines was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jarod Haskins to maneuver through the defense. 15 minutes into the match, American Airlines's goalkeeper Chase Erwin had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Hector Covarrubias. Chase Erwin made an important save on a dangerous shot by Primitivo Escribano in the 17th minute. After 18 minutes, Jarod Haskins mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the American Airlines and the Paraguay players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 18 played minutes American Airlines got a freekick which was hit by Jarod Haskins. A hard shot by Primitivo Escribano from long distance, 19 minutes into the match, got Chase Erwin's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. 23 minutes into the game, Jorginho Esteves threw the ball into play from the sideline. Paraguay's Primitivo Escribano quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Chase Erwin made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jaime Pardo in the 24th minute. With a little luck, American Airlines's Chase Erwin got control of the ball when Jaime Pardo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Paraguay's Hector Covarrubias managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Jorginho Esteves in the 28 minute of the game. In the 29th minute Clark Holloway shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jacobo Nores saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Chase Erwin made a fantastic save in the 33rd minute, when Jaime Pardo sent off a good shot on target. After 34 minutes, Jaime Pardo made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. American Airlines's Chase Erwin tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Jaime Pardo's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 37thth minute, Chase Erwin skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Jaime Pardo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 39th minute of the match, but Chase Erwin made a huge save. Hector Covarrubias sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to American Airlines getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Jarod Haskins hit a great ball.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Clark Holloway was the one to do the kick off. Hector Covarrubias sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Chase Erwin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jaime Pardo, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. The audience was convinced that Jaime Pardo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Chase Erwin was relentless in the 57th minute of the game. Jacobo Nores made a fantastic save in the 58th minute, when Clark Holloway sent off a good shot on target. After 59 played minutes American Airlines got a freekick which was hit by Carson Aguilar. Hector Covarrubias received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Chase Erwin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 66th minute Hector Covarrubias shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Chase Erwin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 68 minutes had been played when some careless play by American Airlines's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Jaime Pardo was slow to take the kick. During this time Paraguay's players had a chance to rest. Juan Diego Tenorio made a great header on Paraguay's corner, it was just that American Airlines's Chase Erwin managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 69th match minute, American Airlines was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carson Aguilar to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Paraguay booed when American Airlines was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Andy Franklin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jaime Pardo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Paraguay's Jaime Pardo got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Clark Holloway got free with Jacobo Nores in the 83rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Jaime Pardo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. If Hector Covarrubias had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Clark Holloway took the ball and in the 87 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jacobo Nores. Jacobo Nores dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Jaime Pardo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Chase Erwin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jaime Pardo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Chase Erwin having to interfere. Paraguay were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing American Airlines to leave the ground with a draw.
