Spectators: 39 (Terracing: 30, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Axel Tasis started the match with the kick off. In the 3rd minute, Eliseo Noboa ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Chase Erwin was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 7th minute, Axel Tasis managed to get in a good position for a shot. Costa Rica's supporters rose to their feet, but Axel Tasis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Chase Erwin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Clark Holloway could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 8th minute of the match, but Benito Sanz made a huge save. The crowd rose to their feet as American Airlines's Clark Holloway slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Benito Sanz. That made the score 1-2 after 12 minutes of play. In the 16th minute, Aaron Alcocer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Lautaro Puig recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jorginho Esteves in the 24th minute of play forced Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 26 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Alexander Carballo. Benito Sanz made a fantastic save in the 27th minute, when Andy Franklin sent off a good shot on target. In the 29th minute, Eliseo Noboa left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Costa Rica fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. Costa Rica's Axel Tasis got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Benito Sanz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Clark Holloway in the 34th minute. Jarod Haskins hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. In the 37th minute, Axel Tasis left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Costa Rica fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-4. In the 39th match minute, American Airlines was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Clark Holloway to maneuver through the defense. In the 45th minute Lautaro Puig shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Chase Erwin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Clark Holloway stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, American Airlines's goal looked a bit too open when Axel Tasis came free, but Chase Erwin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Clark Holloway in the 60th minute of play forced Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, American Airlines's Clark Holloway got a free kick in the 62nd minute. 65 minutes into the game, Eliseo Noboa recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Chase Erwin. Eliseo Noboa showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-5. An unexpectedly hard shot by Clark Holloway in the 69th minute of play forced Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 74 minutes into the match, American Airlines's goal looked a bit too open when Eliseo Noboa came free, but Chase Erwin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Chase Erwin made a fantastic save in the 79th minute, when Axel Tasis sent off a good shot on target. When Eliseo Noboa came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the Costa Rica fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eliseo Noboa couldn't finish the play. 84 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goal looked a bit too open when Clark Holloway came free, but Benito Sanz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 85th minute, American Airlines's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Lautaro Puig fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Lautaro Puig might have been able to make a better finish in the 91st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Chase Erwin. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Lautaro Puig ran back to his position shaking his head. Chants of Costa Rica echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as American Airlines had held the ball for most of the match.
