Spectators: 39 (Terracing: 30, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Clark Holloway started the match with the kick off. In the 2nd match minute, American Airlines was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jorginho Esteves to maneuver through the defense. In the 3rd minute, Jaime Pardo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jaime Pardo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Chase Erwin having to interfere. Andy Franklin's late challenge caught a Paraguay's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. In the 23rd minute of the match Primitivo Escribano sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Chase Erwin skillfully saved the ball. Paraguay's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Jorginho Esteves 26 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 2-0. Clark Holloway's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 30thth minute, Jacobo Nores skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After some careless play in the Paraguay defense, Jorginho Esteves kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jacobo Nores. The Paraguay fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jacobo Nores should have stopped the shot. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Hector Covarrubias in the 42nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Chase Erwin saved American Airlines from getting behind. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Primitivo Escribano during the 43rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 43rd match minute, Paraguay was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Primitivo Escribano to maneuver through the defense. Andy Franklin hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. After 45 played minutes, Paraguay's Primitivo Escribano shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Chase Erwin came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Paraguay reached it. After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Jorginho Esteves managed to get in a good position for a shot. American Airlines's supporters rose to their feet, but Jorginho Esteves was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jacobo Nores breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

A collision led to Paraguay getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Jaime Pardo hit a great ball. When Jaime Pardo came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the Paraguay fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jaime Pardo couldn't finish the play. After 93 minutes of play American Airlines's Jarod Haskins was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. The supporters of Paraguay booed when American Airlines was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jarod Haskins didn't get a good kick on the ball. Many of Paraguay's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Paraguay may have spent more time on the ball, but American Airlines were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
