Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Daniel Zorita started the match with the kick off. 3 minutes into the match, Daniel Zorita had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Serafin Ugaitz. Cacomixtles de Queretaro's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Daniel Zorita was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Roland Nieruchliwy blasted a shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Julio Vera having to make a save. 12 minutes into the match, Constantino Henrico had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Julio Vera. Ecuador's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Constantino Henrico was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Daniel Zorita was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Serafin Ugaitz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Constantino Henrico in the 24th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Cristian Sancho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Serafin Ugaitz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Serafin Ugaitz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 31st minute of play. 32 minutes had been played when some careless play by Cacomixtles de Queretaro's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. A well done corner resulted in Felix Montenegro drilling the ball in to score 1-2 behind Cacomixtles de Queretaro's goalkeeper. Serafin Ugaitz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 35th minute of the match. When Daniel Zorita came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Daniel Zorita couldn't finish the play. Daniel Zorita recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 42 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Serafin Ugaitz narrowly saved just below the crossbar.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gustav Sefastsson stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Serafin Ugaitz made a fantastic save in the 53rd minute, when Daniel Zorita sent off a good shot on target. In the 58th minute of the match, Daniel Zorita got a very nice opportunity to score, but Serafin Ugaitz was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Cacomixtles de Queretaro's Severino Che was substituted for Hüsnü Hürsel. 62 minutes into the game, Felix Montenegro recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Serafin Ugaitz. Felix Montenegro showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-3. Serafin Ugaitz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Agustín Saelices in the 65th minute. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gustav Sefastsson in the 66th minute of the match. In the 68th minute of the match, Daniel Zorita got a very nice opportunity to score, but Serafin Ugaitz was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. The supporters of Cacomixtles de Queretaro booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cristian Sancho didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 73rd minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Serafin Ugaitz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 74th minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. Daniel Zorita made a great header on Ecuador's corner, it was just that Cacomixtles de Queretaro's Serafin Ugaitz managed to reach the ball for a save. Serafin Ugaitz made a fantastic save in the 78th minute, when Cristian Sancho sent off a good shot on target. After having played for 80 minutes, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Daniel Zorita was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Cristian Sancho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cacomixtles de Queretaro's Serafin Ugaitz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 89th minute of play. Daniel Zorita recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The Cacomixtles de Queretaro fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Ecuador were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
