The audience thought a goal was coming when Vicente Taveira got free with Jonathan Ferrant in the 8th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jonathan Ferrant made an important save on a dangerous shot by 秦浩洲 in the 11th minute. After 14 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Salvador Gisbert. In the 21st minute Claudemiro Peixoto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mateo Rusin got a throw-in 24 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Vicente Taveira. With a little luck, Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant got control of the ball when 秦浩洲 tried to sneak it across the goal line. 31 minutes in the game, Amauri van Beek fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Vicente Taveira kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Jonathan Ferrant. That made the score 1-0 in the 34 minute of play. 39 minutes into the match, Vicente Taveira notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. João Brites showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Illescas, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from 秦浩洲 in the 43rd minute of the match. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

Amauri van Beek's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jonathan Ferrant read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 53rd minute of play. Patricio Costa's late challenge caught a Mira Sintra's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Patricio Costa helped the player get up and apologised. In the 58th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Patricio Costa to maneuver through the defense. In the 66th minute Tomas Illescas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but João Brites saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amauri van Beek in the 68th minute of play. In the 84th minute the ball was on its way in behind Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Éder Couto in the 96th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mira Sintra walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
