An unexpectedly hard shot by Justo Lukach in the 16th minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mexico were awarded a corner in the 23th minute after Atlético da Colina's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Justo Lukach's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dante Lacasa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 55th minute of play. 58 minutes into the match, Atlético da Colina's goalkeeper Hílton Dias had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alberto Tafalla. The supporters of Atlético da Colina booed when Mexico was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luca Zorita didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 98 played minutes Mexico got a freekick which was hit by Macos Graciani. In the 99th minute Set Master shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Mexico walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
