An unexpectedly hard shot by Január Csillag in the 3rd minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Walmir Breckenfeld could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 5th minute of the match, but Jonathan Ferrant made a huge save. Horaţiu Petran made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Illescas in the 9th minute of play. A collision led to Gyál United getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Deivid Trigo hit a great ball. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Konstantinos Kroustallis in the 14th minute of play. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Deivid Trigo hit a great ball. 20 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Walmir Breckenfeld came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Patricio Costa kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. In the 35th minute, Konstantinos Kroustallis left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Gyál United fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Konstantinos Kroustallis could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 42nd minute of the match, but Jonathan Ferrant made a huge save. The supporters of Gyál United booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jose Correa didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Walmir Breckenfeld came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the Gyál United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Walmir Breckenfeld couldn't finish the play. Konstantinos Kroustallis charged in rather forcefully in the 44th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Konstantinos Kroustallis the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Gyál United's Konstantinos Kroustallis got a free kick in the 44th minute. In the 45th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Patricio Costa to maneuver through the defense. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Zoltán Varga struck a weak shot in the 51st minute. Jonathan Ferrant didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gyál United. 59 minutes into the game, Tomas Illescas was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Venezuela's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Gyál United the free kick. Tomas Illescas hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. In the 64th minute, Zoltán Varga made a precise shot to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. In the 67th minute, Walmir Breckenfeld got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zoltán Varga in the 70th minute of the match. 74 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Walmir Breckenfeld came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 75 minutes, Walmir Breckenfeld managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gyál United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Walmir Breckenfeld was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Jose Correa fell near the penalty area in the 75th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Venezuela's protests and gave Jose Correa a yellow card for diving instead. 77 minutes into the match, Walmir Breckenfeld had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Walmir Breckenfeld was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zoltán Varga, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. But to his dismay, Walmir Breckenfeld quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-0. The referee showed Patricio Costa the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 96 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Patricio Costa. In the 97th minute of the match Konstantinos Kroustallis sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jonathan Ferrant skillfully saved the ball.
