Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 2nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Balaceanu UFC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 4th minute, when Tomas Illescas scored to the left of an out of position Mihăiţă Frânculescu, making the score, 1-0. Emilian Gligan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. Balaceanu UFC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 13th minute, when Tomas Illescas scored to the left of an out of position Mihăiţă Frânculescu, making the score, 3-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 23rd minute, Tomas Illescas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Venezuela's supporters rose to their feet, but Tomas Illescas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mihăiţă Frânculescu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alex Aliuta in the 26th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Illescas in the 27th minute of play forced Balaceanu UFC's goalkeeper Mihăiţă Frânculescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Venezuela booed when Balaceanu UFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ilie Cobâlcescu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tomas Illescas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Patricio Costa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Venezuela's supporters rose to their feet, but Patricio Costa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mihăiţă Frânculescu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 41 minutes into the game, Alex Aliuta cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Jonathan Ferrant was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 45 minutes into the match, Balaceanu UFC's Ilie Cobâlcescu broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-1 at half-time.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Alex Aliuta stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 53rd minute of the match, managed to save Venezuela from getting a goal against them. After 54 played minutes Balaceanu UFC got a freekick which was hit by Alex Aliuta. The Venezuela fans' excitement grew in the 62nd match minute when Venezuela's Tomas Illescas looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 5-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Alex Aliuta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Illescas in the 68th minute of play forced Balaceanu UFC's goalkeeper Mihăiţă Frânculescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Venezuela's Tomas Illescas got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Tomas Illescas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mihăiţă Frânculescu having to interfere. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Venezuela's Tomas Illescas in the 84th minute got a chance for a shot 84th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie.
