Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Lanny Gilmore made the kick off which started today's match. The supporters of Santos FC booed when Colombia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Antonio Indiano didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 6th minute, Colombia's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Lanny Gilmore fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. If Axel Montenegro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Santos FC's Aaron Smallwood played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abram Sarmiento in the 14th minute of play. Axel Montenegro made a great header on Colombia's corner, it was just that Santos FC's Aaron Smallwood managed to reach the ball for a save. Terence Nicholas did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-0 to the left of a surprised Pedro Manzanares 19 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lanny Gilmore got free with Pedro Manzanares in the 21st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Terence Nicholas in the 27th minute of play forced Colombia's goalkeeper Pedro Manzanares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Antonio Indiano made in the 29th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Luis Cazalla however managed to control. 30 minutes into the match, Santos FC's goal looked a bit too open when Axel Montenegro came free, but Aaron Smallwood reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 31st minute Colombia were awarded a corner. Axel Montenegro went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Colombia's Luis Cazalla to fire away a dangerous shot which Aaron Smallwood despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 33rd minute of the match Colombia got a corner. Santos FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Axel Montenegro ran over to the corner to take the kick. Pascual Carballar was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Pedro Manzanares made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tyron Velasquez in the 38th minute. Titus Kohler made in the 42nd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Colombia's Kevin Mastache. Luis Cazalla's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Aaron Smallwood read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 43rd minute of play. In the 46th minute, Terence Nicholas fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. After the first half Colombia were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Abram Sarmiento was the one to do the kick off. A collision led to Santos FC getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Mike Richardson hit a great ball. Aaron Smallwood took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abram Sarmiento, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Abram Sarmiento might have been able to make a better finish in the 54th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Aaron Smallwood. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Abram Sarmiento ran back to his position shaking his head. Aaron Smallwood showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abram Sarmiento in the 54th minute of the match. Kevin Mastache sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 56th minute, Lanny Gilmore ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Pedro Manzanares was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. In the 61stth minute of the game Lanny Gilmore who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Colombia's Pedro Manzanares was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Lanny Gilmore scored 3-2 in the 63rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Pedro Manzanares, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The audience was convinced that Lanny Gilmore's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Pedro Manzanares was relentless in the 66th minute of the game. Vern Pierre kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. In the 70thth minute of the game Ignacio Mastache who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Santos FC's Aaron Smallwood was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lanny Gilmore in the 72nd minute of play forced Colombia's goalkeeper Pedro Manzanares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ignacio Mastache struck a weak shot in the 73rd minute. Aaron Smallwood didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Colombia. Aaron Smallwood made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ignacio Mastache in the 75th minute of play. Pedro Manzanares came out of the goal in the 77th minute to try and stop a shot by Santos FC's Terence Nicholas. But to his dismay, Terence Nicholas quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-2. Kevin Mastache sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Santos FC's Cesar Small got a free kick in the 85th minute. Abram Secada struck a weak shot in the 86th minute. Aaron Smallwood didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Colombia. Pedro Manzanares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lanny Gilmore, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Santos FC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Colombia for a fine match.
