Staniša Šorgić showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Patricio Costa in the 4th minute of the match. 4 minutes into the match, Patricio Costa notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Thornhill City's Staniša Šorgić. Staniša Šorgić was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Radoman Karaičić sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 11th minute Tomas Illescas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Staniša Šorgić saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Radoman Karaičić blasted a shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jonathan Ferrant having to make a save. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Radoman Karaičić in the 19th minute of play. When Radoman Karaičić in the 21st play minute got the chance to kick a hard shot on goal from short distance neither the defense or Jonathan Ferrant kept up with the ball and suddenly the score was 1-1 when the ball slipped into goal inside the left pole. The audience was convinced that Radoman Karaičić's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jonathan Ferrant was relentless in the 24th minute of the game. 30 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Radoman Karaičić came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Radoman Karaičić in the 44th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

The wind increased when Radoman Karaičić made the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Radoman Karaičić managed to get in a good position for a shot. Thornhill City's supporters rose to their feet, but Radoman Karaičić was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jonathan Ferrant breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Sima Ignjatović kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. Staniša Šorgić didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 57th minute, which inside left pole to 2-2. Guillermo Mariano kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. Thornhill City's Ninoslav Mijanović was substituted for Radoman Karaičić. In the 67th minute, Ninoslav Mijanović left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Thornhill City fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-2. 75 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Ninoslav Mijanović came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Venezuela defense, Ninoslav Mijanović kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. The Venezuela fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonathan Ferrant should have stopped the shot. Staniša Šorgić made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tomas Illescas in the 82nd minute. Thornhill City's Siniša Ognjanović managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Guillermo Mariano in the 90 minute of the game. 91 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Ninoslav Mijanović came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thornhill City's Siniša Ognjanović quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Guillermo Mariano, made in the 94th minute of the game. If Ninoslav Mijanović had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Draža Milentijević recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Thornhill City's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
