Patricio Costa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Martino Pozuelos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Illescas in the 20th minute of the match. Jose Correa hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. Narciso Negri hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. 35 minutes into the match, Venezuela's Tomas Illescas sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Martino Pozuelos narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Dario Palombi hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. If Brasil Brasil had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Tomas Illescas made the kick off in the second half. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Brasil Brasil in the 52nd minute of the match. With a little luck, S.C. Internacional RS's Martino Pozuelos got control of the ball when Tomas Illescas tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 56th minute, Eutropio Negrete hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of S.C. Internacional RS booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Guillermo Mariano didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dinei Gøl in the 63rd minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dinei Gøl in the 69th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jonathan Ferrant prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 71st minute S.C. Internacional RS were awarded a corner. Remo Motta went to the cornerflag to take it. S.C. Internacional RS's Brasil Brasil was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Jonathan Ferrant in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Patricio Costa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Martino Pozuelos having to interfere. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dinei Gøl, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 89 minutes, Eutropio Negrete mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the S.C. Internacional RS and the Venezuela players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, S.C. Internacional RS's Eutropio Negrete got a free kick in the 89th minute. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
