Paolo Azuela showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Milagros Fraga, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. Arto Veedla thought of kicking away a contribution in front of goal but messed it up so badly that the ball went to the right of an astonished Paolo Azuela, a very annoying self made goal in the 16th minute which led to 0-2. In the 19th minute Julian Murillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paolo Azuela saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 23 minutes into the game, Peru's Julian Murillo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Paolo Azuela made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. 25 minutes into the match, Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Stig-Åke Elin. Rolando Noboa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tercero Imperiale in the 37th minute of the match. Peru's supporters rose to their feet, but Julian Murillo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Paolo Azuela breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Julian Murillo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Peru's Efraim Gilabert quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Johnny Ek, made in the 46th minute of the game. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Milagros Fraga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 56 minutes into the match, JELINEBERG's goal looked a bit too open when Julian Murillo came free, but Paolo Azuela reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, JELINEBERG's Paolo Azuela got control of the ball when Milagros Fraga tried to sneak it across the goal line. After taking down the ball on Peru's corner Luz Tejedor fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Paolo Azuela quite easily take care of the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Julian Murillo got free with Paolo Azuela in the 64th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a little luck, JELINEBERG's Paolo Azuela got control of the ball when Julian Murillo tried to sneak it across the goal line. When the match had gone on for 70 minutes, Stig-Åke Elin put it in 1-3 from a short distance just to the right of Rolando Noboa. In the 75th minute, Julian Murillo made a precise shot to the right of Paolo Azuela. JELINEBERG's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-4. After a rather tough play, Peru's Julian Murillo got a free kick in the 81st minute. Peru made a substitution. Antonio Tenorio replaced Luz Tejedor. After 83 played minutes Peru got a freekick which was hit by Julian Murillo. In the 90th minute of the game Johnny Ek made a throw-in which Simo Arulepp played forward. Peru's Rolando Noboa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tercero Imperiale in the 92nd minute of play. 93 minutes into the game, Eliseo Mina was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Peru's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave JELINEBERG the free kick. Eliseo Mina hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. The supporters of JELINEBERG booed when Peru was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anthony Alvarado didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 94 minutes, Tor Skytt managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. JELINEBERG's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tor Skytt was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The JELINEBERG supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Peru's performance. The match ended with a win for Peru.
