Milagros Cabal's late challenge caught a Obi Wan Cannabis's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Milagros Cabal helped the player get up and apologised. In the 17th match minute, Honduras was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Milagros Cabal to maneuver through the defense. Lautaro Navarro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Teodor Buitrago in the 18th minute of the match. A collision led to Honduras getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Luca Espinar hit a great ball. Teodor Buitrago fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lautaro Navarro having to interfere. Quentín Dittmann hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. In the 37th minute, Teodor Buitrago ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Lautaro Navarro was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. 41 minutes into the match, Honduras's goal looked a bit too open when Teodor Buitrago came free, but Lautaro Navarro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The wind increased when Edmundo Espiga made the kick off in the second half. When Santiago Diaz Montero fell near the penalty area in the 54th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Obi Wan Cannabis's protests and gave Santiago Diaz Montero a yellow card for diving instead. After 54 played minutes Obi Wan Cannabis got a freekick which was hit by Santiago Diaz Montero. Gaspar Ripamonti took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edmundo Espiga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Christian Sancho charged in rather forcefully in the 62nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Christian Sancho the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Honduras getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. After 62 minutes of play, Obi Wan Cannabis's Santiago Diaz Montero made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Lautaro Navarro was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 67th minute, Víctor Javier Rocha hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Lautaro Navarro was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Teodor Buitrago showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-3 in the 69 minute of play. Gaspar Ripamonti showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edmundo Espiga, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. In the 93rd minute, Edmundo Espiga hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Lautaro Navarro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Teodor Buitrago in the 96th minute of play.
