Colombia's defense didn't have a chance, in the 4th minute, when Teofil Gorzkiewicz scored to the left of an out of position Pedro Manzanares, making the score, 1-0. If Teofil Gorzkiewicz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The audience was convinced that Teofil Gorzkiewicz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Pedro Manzanares was relentless in the 14th minute of the game. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Joaquim Tande during the 17th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 16th minute, one of TIMETER EC -DMZ-:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for TIMETER EC -DMZ-. Teofil Gorzkiewicz might have been able to make a better finish in the 31st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Pedro Manzanares. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Teofil Gorzkiewicz ran back to his position shaking his head. Teofil Gorzkiewicz's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Pedro Manzanares firmly grabbed it by the left post. 33 minutes into the match, Colombia's goal looked a bit too open when Teofil Gorzkiewicz came free, but Pedro Manzanares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Colombia's Pedro Manzanares proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 37th minute of the match, managed to save Colombia from getting a goal against them. Ferdinand Joldea took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Santino Seco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 47th minute, Colombia's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Guilherme Félix fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Teofil Gorzkiewicz to make the kick off. 58 minutes into the game, Teofil Gorzkiewicz cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Fance Salisbury fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro Manzanares having to interfere. With his leg Ferdinand Joldea managed to avoid a goal in the 79thth minute, when Colombia's Abram Secada fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 92 minutes into the match, Leandro Lira had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Pedro Manzanares. Colombia's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Leandro Lira was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-2. For all the effort they put into the match, the Colombia players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for TIMETER EC -DMZ-.
