José Javier Ordaz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. José Javier Ordaz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bruno Barrett having to interfere. After 22 played minutes Rapa Nui got a freekick which was hit by Yeray Villalta. If Saúl Anabalon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Yeray Villalta took the ball and in the 31 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Bruno Barrett. Bruno Barrett dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. Reynaldo Balladares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kyle Davies, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 42 minutes in the game, José Javier Ordaz dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. The supporters of Rapa Nui booed when Curacao was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rocco Owen didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rocco Owen hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. José Javier Ordaz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 48th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Kyle Davies stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Kyle Davies during the 55th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Curacao's Kyle Davies got a free kick in the 56th minute. An unexpected shot in the 56th minute by José Javier Ordaz got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. In the 58th minute, Saúl Anabalon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 60th minute Saúl Anabalon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bruno Barrett saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rocco Owen charged in rather forcefully in the 61st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rocco Owen the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Curacao getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Rocco Owen hit a great ball. In the 63rd minute Saúl Anabalon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bruno Barrett saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 71stth minute of the game José Javier Ordaz who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Curacao's Bruno Barrett was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Bruno Barrett made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Saúl Anabalon in the 72nd minute of play. After 74 played minutes Rapa Nui got a freekick which was hit by Damario Abufhele. The supporters of Curacao booed when Rapa Nui was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Damario Abufhele didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Saúl Anabalon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Edilberto Landea's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bruno Barrett read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 91st minute of play. Curacao's Rocco Owen got his second yellow card of the match in the 92nd minute. The referee ordered Rocco Owen off the ground. In the 93rd match minute, Curacao was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rocco Owen to maneuver through the defense. Saúl Anabalon recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Rapa Nui's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
