The corner was taken by Edmundo Espiga in the 15th minute. 19 minutes into the match, Borussia Dortmund's goal looked a bit too open when Edmundo Espiga came free, but Norberto Scales reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Norberto Scales took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sebastian Villa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 21st minute of the match, Jonas Armendariz tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Lautaro Navarro saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. A beautiful save bye Borussia Dortmund's goalie prevented a goal. Lautaro Navarro made a fantastic save in the 36th minute, when Pawel Witwicki sent off a good shot on target. Edmundo Espiga who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 83rdth minute tested the skills of Norberto Scales when he managed to save the team from getting behind. When the match clock showed 86 minutes, the score became 2-4 when Edmundo Espiga sped through Borussia Dortmund's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Norberto Scales. Honduras's Sebastian Villa quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Felix Holt, made in the 89th minute of the game. After a rather tough play, Honduras's Esteban Carvallo got a free kick in the 94th minute. In the 94th minute, Shannon Slater sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Honduras's Lautaro Navarro didn't even have to move. Edmundo Espiga kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match.
