With an all-out effort, KaBuS FC's Jonathan Ferrant threw himself towards the right post 7 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Orbay Durdu, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. A collision led to KaBuS FC getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Halit Fahri Çağlar hit a great ball. In the 11th minute, Patricio Costa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 19 minutes into the match, Venezuela's Tomas Illescas sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Hazım Şanlı narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Hazım Şanlı didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Tomas Illescas went, in the 21st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tomas Illescas in the 28th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hazım Şanlı saved KaBuS FC from getting behind. In the 31st minute Tomas Illescas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hazım Şanlı saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to KaBuS FC getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Nadir İspinoz hit a great ball. In the 38thth minute of the game Tomas Illescas who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but KaBuS FC's Hazım Şanlı was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Onurhan Okuyan hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. Hazım Şanlı made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Illescas in the 40th minute of play. Jonathan Ferrant made an important save on a dangerous shot by Orbay Durdu in the 44th minute. After the first half Venezuela were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Orbay Durdu to strike the kick off in the second half. After 53 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Jose Correa. If Aytuğ Canser had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Halit Fahri Çağlar during the 60th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 61 minutes into the game, Alex Chicote was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Venezuela's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave KaBuS FC the free kick. Alex Chicote hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. Aytuğ Canser hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. Tomas Illescas hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 68th minute, Nadir İspinoz managed to get in a good position for a shot. KaBuS FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Nadir İspinoz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jonathan Ferrant breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A hard shot 72 in the game by Tomas Illescas from a close distance when the talented Hazım Şanlı managed to make a qualified save. KaBuS FC's players were relieved. Hazım Şanlı made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tomas Illescas in the 73rd minute. Tomas Illescas received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Hazım Şanlı came out and tried to block the shot, but Tomas Illescas slotted it home off the left post making it 0-2 in the 73rd minute. The supporters of KaBuS FC booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rigoberto Mina didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 86 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Tomas Illescas. Halit Fahri Çağlar kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. The Venezuela supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Venezuela would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
