Kᴇᴛᴇɴçᴀʏɪʀ's Onur-Recep Kıvrak proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 18th minute of the match, managed to save Kᴇᴛᴇɴçᴀʏɪʀ from getting a goal against them. If Benedykt Lanczak had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Marco Day showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Benedykt Lanczak, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. When Benedykt Lanczak came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the Kᴇᴛᴇɴçᴀʏɪʀ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Benedykt Lanczak couldn't finish the play. After having played for 29 minutes, Benedykt Lanczak managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kᴇᴛᴇɴçᴀʏɪʀ's supporters crossed their fingers, but Benedykt Lanczak was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 31st match minute, USA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jenson Smith to maneuver through the defense. In the 33rdth minute of the game Cassius Byrne who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Kᴇᴛᴇɴçᴀʏɪʀ's Onur-Recep Kıvrak was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, USA's Edward Mcdonald got a free kick in the 35th minute. Onur-Recep Kıvrak made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cassius Byrne in the 38th minute. A sloppy throw-in by Diego Bradley in the 45th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Kᴇᴛᴇɴçᴀʏɪʀ's Ahmet Hamdi Baran.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cassius Byrne to make the kick off. Onur-Recep Kıvrak showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cassius Byrne in the 52nd minute of the match. In the 55th minute Cassius Byrne shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Onur-Recep Kıvrak saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Kᴇᴛᴇɴçᴀʏɪʀ getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Benedykt Lanczak hit a great ball. Onur-Recep Kıvrak made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cassius Byrne in the 58th minute of play. Onur-Recep Kıvrak took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zach Harrison, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Onur-Recep Kıvrak stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Zach Harrison's shot from short distance in the 62nd minute. Kᴇᴛᴇɴçᴀʏɪʀ made a substitution. USA's Marco Day played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Deng Jie Wei in the 92nd minute of play.
